Terms of Service
Last revised · October 10, 2026
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and Disruptive Digital Solutions Group (“D2SG,” “we,” “us”), a sole proprietorship based in Costa Mesa, California. They cover d2sg.com, what happens when you contact us about an idea or venture, and every purchase you make from D2SG, including memberships in the products we run. By using our website or buying from us, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use our website or buy from us.
1.Who we are
D2SG is a venture studio. We build and run our own products, and we work with founders and investors to bring new ones to market. Our products include consumer products such as Chris Maus (chrismaus.com), an AI storytelling world built on our NUMUSE platform (numu.se). Each product has its own name and website; where D2SG operates a product, D2SG is the seller when you pay for it.
That is why your card statement shows a charge such as “D2SG* CHRIS MAUS,” and why your receipts come from D2SG.
2.How these Terms fit with a product’s own terms
Each product publishes its own terms on its website, covering how to use it: accounts, plans, the content you create and acceptable use. Those product terms and these Terms apply together. These Terms cover the sale itself: prices, billing, renewal, cancellation and refunds.
If a product’s terms and these Terms disagree about payment, renewal, cancellation or refunds, whichever is more favorable to you applies.
3.Who can buy
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to make a purchase.
Our products are not available in countries subject to comprehensive U.S. sanctions, or to anyone on a U.S. government sanctions list.
4.Prices, payment and taxes
Prices are shown in U.S. dollars on the product’s checkout page before you pay. Sales tax or similar taxes are added where the law requires and are shown at checkout.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
When you give us a payment method, you authorize us to charge it for the purchase you choose and, for memberships, for each renewal until you cancel.
5.Memberships and automatic renewal
Some products offer a paid membership billed monthly or yearly. The checkout page shows the price and billing period, and these renewal terms, before you subscribe.
- Your membership renews automatically at the end of each billing period, and we charge the then-current price to your payment method, until you cancel.
- You can cancel online at any time. Open the billing page in the product’s account settings, or use the link in any receipt email. You can also email support@d2sg.com and we will cancel it for you.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. You keep your membership until then, and you won’t be charged again.
- We email a receipt after every charge. For yearly memberships, we also email a reminder before each renewal.
- If we raise the price of your membership, we will email you at least 30 days before the new price applies, so you can cancel first if you wish.
- If a membership includes a free trial or an introductory price, the checkout page will say how long it lasts and what you will be charged afterwards. Cancel before the trial ends and you won’t be charged.
- If a renewal payment fails, we may retry it. If it still can’t be collected, the paid features of your membership may stop.
6.Refunds
Except where the law requires otherwise, we don’t refund membership fees for a billing period that has already started, including a period you have only partly used. Instead, cancelling stops all future charges.
- If you were charged by mistake, charged twice, or charged after you cancelled, we will refund that charge.
- If we close your account or discontinue a product for any reason other than your breach of these Terms or the product’s terms, we will refund the unused part of your current billing period.
- Deleting your account ends any membership immediately. If you think you are owed a refund, please contact us before deleting your account.
- If the law where you live gives you a right to cancel or to a refund, nothing in these Terms limits that right.
- Before disputing a charge with your bank, please email support@d2sg.com. Most billing problems are quickest to fix directly.
7.Printed and other physical products
Some products may offer printed books or other physical items. Where they do, the checkout page shows the price, the shipping cost, the countries we ship to and an estimated delivery time before you pay.
Printed items are made to order for you, so we can’t accept returns for a change of mind. If an item arrives damaged or misprinted, or doesn’t arrive, tell us within 30 days of its estimated delivery date and we will reprint it or refund you.
8.In-product items and no financial products
Points, badges, “karma” and similar items inside our products have no cash value. They can’t be bought, sold or exchanged for money.
Purchases covered by these Terms are for software memberships and related products. None of them is cryptocurrency, a token, an NFT or an investment.
9.Working with us on a venture
If you are a founder or an investor talking with us about building a venture, any engagement between us is governed by a separate written agreement that we both sign. Contacting us, and these Terms, don’t create a partnership, a joint venture or any obligation on either side to work together.
We welcome ideas. We also develop many ideas ourselves and with others, and some may be similar to yours. Unless we have both signed a confidentiality agreement, what you send us is not treated as confidential, and sending it doesn’t create any obligation on either side. If your idea needs confidentiality, tell us before you share the details and we can put an agreement in place first.
Nothing on our websites is an offer to sell, or a solicitation of an offer to buy, any security or other investment, and nothing on them is financial, investment, legal or tax advice.
10.Using our websites
We may suspend or close access for anyone who breaks these Terms or a product’s terms. When you use d2sg.com or any of our products, you agree not to:
- break the law or help anyone else break it;
- attack, overload, probe or interfere with our systems, or access them by automated means other than ordinary search-engine indexing;
- use a payment method you aren’t authorized to use, or make a false chargeback claim;
- infringe anyone else’s rights, or impersonate any person or organization.
11.Our intellectual property
D2SG and its products, including their names, logos, software, text and artwork, belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy or reuse them except as these Terms or a product’s terms allow. Content you create in one of our products is yours, as that product’s terms describe.
12.Disclaimers
We work hard to keep our products running well, but they are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. AI-generated content can be inaccurate or unexpected; please use your own judgment.
Some places don’t allow these disclaimers, so some of them may not apply to you.
13.Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, D2SG is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim relating to our websites, products or your purchases is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose or US$100.
Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
14.Governing law and disputes
If you have a problem, please email support@d2sg.com or call +1 (844) 772-8957 first. Most issues can be resolved quickly that way.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute we can’t resolve informally will be decided by the state or federal courts located in Orange County, California, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction. Either of us may instead bring a claim in small-claims court if it qualifies.
If you are a consumer living outside California, you keep any protections that the law where you live gives you and that can’t be waived by agreement.
15.Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new date. If a change materially affects a paid membership, we will email you before it applies. Changes don’t apply to purchases made before the change.
